The head of the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority has spoken at a gathering of telecom industry professionals from Latin America and the Caribbean.
Tim Ringsdore was a panellist recently at the International Institute of Communications’ annual Latin America and Caribbean Telecom and Media Forum, which was held in Miami.
He said: "I was proud to be invited to speak at the Institute of International Communications event alongside such eminent industry professionals from around the world.
“It was an opportunity to raise awareness of our island internationally and share how we are supporting competition, the economy, and the Government of Jersey’s strategic aims.
"It was also a chance to learn from regulators from small nations on how they are approaching similar issues we face. It’s essential that the authority continues to develop our approach so that we can continue to deliver for islanders.”
The forum Mr Ringsdore spoke at took place in conjunction with other IIC events, including the Regional Regulators Forum and Small Nations’ Regulators Forum.
