Jersey has been awarded the title of 'Best International Finance Centre' at the WealthBriefing MENA Awards.
Faizal Bhana, Director Middle East, Africa and India, Jersey Finance, accepted the award at a gala ceremony, held earlier this month in Dubai.
“Jersey Finance is focussed on differentiating through a comprehensive outreach programme which saw its first full year as the first IFC to establish a presence in the Dubai International Finance Centre. Our judges were very impressed by their winner’s detailed submission which listed areas of excellence and how it’s leading the way in terms of international compliance and regulatory cooperation," the judging panel said.
“Jersey has a strong and solid relationship with the Gulf Region and we are incredibly proud that Jersey has been recognised as their leading IFC,” Jersey Finance CEO Joe Moynihan said.
“It’s testament to the hard work our industry has put in throughout the year and thanks to Jersey’s long-standing ability to offer a stable, well-regulated, high-quality commercial environment. Next year marks our industry’s 60th anniversary and we look to maintaining our momentum to continue to provide tailored and innovative solutions for global investors.”
