Jersey shortlisted as 'IFC of the Year' again

After being recognised as the ‘International Finance Centre of the Year’ for private wealth management for seven years in a row, Jersey has once again nabbed a nomination in the Citywealth IFC Awards.

A number of local companies have also been shortlisted for the awards, which aim to recognise excellence among advisers and managers in the private wealth sector across the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Switzerland and Caribbean.

Global professional services provider Equiom has been shortlisted for 'Trust Company of the Year' in Jersey, the Isle of Man and Hong Kong and Singapore.

Sheila Dean, Global CEO, commented: "We are so pleased to be shortlisted in these three important categories. Our businesses in these regions are going from strength to strength, employing new processes to increase efficiencies and diversifying their service offerings to remain competitive in a changing environment."

Steve Le Seelleur, Equiom's local Managing Director, added: "It’s an honour to be shortlisted for these awards. I would like to thank Citywealth for the shortlisting and congratulate the Jersey team for achieving this recognition."

Rathbones Investment Management International has been nominated in the category 'Investment Management Company of the Year - Channel Islands and Isle of Man', while its Managing Director in Jersey, Jonathan Giles, has been nominated in the category 'Investment Manager of the Year - Channel Islands and Isle of Man'.

Butterfield has been shortlisted in five categories. It has been nominated for 'Trust Company of the Year' in four categories (Switzerland, Hong Kong and Singapore, The Bahamas, Bermuda and Cayman, and Guernsey), and 'Private Bank of the Year – Channel Islands and Isle of Man'.

Michael Collins, Butterfield’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said: “It is gratifying to, once again, have Butterfield businesses and professionals recognised by Citywealth through shortlistings in their prestigious International Financial Centre awards."

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London after judging by an international panel of respected practitioners. The shortlist and voting page is available online until 25 November 2019.
