JFSC Board reaches gender balance with new Commissioner

Wednesday 30 June 2021

The Board of Jersey Financial Services Commission now has an equal number of male and female Commissioners following a new appointment.

Claire Bowes, who will be sworn in by the Royal Court later this week for a five-year term, has experience managing change in leading financial service sector firms.

In recent years, she has been advising and mentoring CEOs on leadership, talent and optimal team performance.

“Claire’s appointment comes at an opportune time for the JFSC," Mark Hoban, Chair of the JFSC, said.

"Like most businesses in Jersey, the organisation has gone through a period of change in the past year. She will take a pivotal role in helping us drive forward our people strategy, whilst helping us define and shape our culture”.

Ms Bowes added: “I am delighted to be joining the JFSC and look forward to supporting the Board and Executive team at this exciting time. “
