Wednesday 29 July 2015

KPMG Advisory teams in Bermuda, Channel Islands, Cayman, Isle of Man, and the United Kingdom supported Bridgepoint Capital in the management buyout of the Appleby Group’s fiduciary business; including their Corporate Administration, Trust Administration and Fund Services Business.

KPMG provided buy side transaction services to Bridgepoint, leveraging the firm’s sector expertise and presence in Appleby's key markets to full effect.

Robert Kirkby, Executive Director, KPMG Advisory in Jersey, said: "We were delighted to advise on the Bridgepoint transaction from a Channel Island’s perspective and work with the other KPMG teams to provide a seamless and comprehensive service."

James Woolf, Partner, Transaction Services at KPMG in the UK, added: "Our Bermuda, Channel Islands, Cayman and Isle of Man teams were able to provide on the ground support for all aspects of the deal, delivering timely, practical and informed perspectives across all jurisdictions."

The management buyout deal was announced on July 16, 2015, and completion of the transaction is subject to certain conditions, including regulatory and legal approvals.
