Lacey Advocates has appointed Alexandra Ruddy as Managing Associate to the firm’s Financial Services Division.
Mrs Ruddy obtained a law degree prior to qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with one of the ‘big four’ accountancy firms.
After working in the Island’s funds industry for many years she held a key position in the Jersey office of Deloitte’s Reorganisation, Forensic and Regulatory Services section, working alongside financial service providers, legal and financial advisers and the Island’s regulator.
Advocate Beverley Lacey, the firm’s founder, said: “Alex’s combined legal and accountancy skills made her an ideal senior appointment for the firm. Alex’s role is to work alongside our lawyers and professionals in advising on issues from pre-merger risk reviews to the forensic analysis and tracing of assets as well as reporting professional assignments.”
Mrs Ruddy added: “I am thrilled to be part of Lacey Advocates’ leading Financial Services team. With my legal, funds and accounting background, I am delighted to be working with senior Jersey experts and to be expanding further the expert financial services the firm provides.”
