Ravenscroft has appointed a senior compliance officer with extensive experience of the local industry.

In his new role, Lee Hammond will work with management and staff to identify and manage day-to-day regulatory risk, reporting into group head of compliance, Sandra Lawrence.

Mr Hammond’s appointment will allow Mrs Lawrence to focus her attention on dealing with high-level holistic group compliance matters.

"Ravenscroft has an excellent reputation and a strong management team in place. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a proactive and positive company that continuously adapts to the ever-changing environment," said Mr Hammond, a 39-year-old father-of-one.

"I have gained a vast amount of knowledge in my previous roles, including working as a compliance consultant in an array of organisations within the financial environment, which I will use to Ravenscroft’s advantage."

"It will be my job to provide day-to-day support to the business in its duty to comply with all relevant laws, regulations, rules and internal procedures, including helping implement controls to mitigate risks as well as advising the company on associated matters. I will ensure that Ravenscroft’s compliance environment is maintained to its high standards as well as assisting with monitoring and updating upon changes within the regulatory framework."

Mr Hammond worked previously as a senior compliance consultant at Active Compliance, Guernsey. Before that he worked within the investment division at the Guernsey Financial Services Commission and in the private equity section at Guernsey International Fund Managers.

"Lee brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge to Ravenscroft.  The company’s unique and dynamic business model operates in an extensive regulatory environment and I welcome Lee’s involvement and assistance in the day-to-day management of our compliance function," said Mrs Lawrence.
