Budding young local rugby players will yet again have the opportunity to take part in the Leicester Tigers Rugby Camps, which will take place this summer in Jersey from 20-24 July.

The camps are open to all young rugby players who are keen to improve their skills with the help of visiting professional players, and provide an ideal way for parents to keep the children occupied and active during the summer holidays. Covering a range of different age groups, from the under 7s to the under 14s, the camps offer top quality coaching and expert tips from the Leicester Tigers themselves.

This year marks a particularly significant milestone for sponsors Ashburton Investments, who are celebrating a decade of supporting the initiative and making the Camps possible.

Leicester Tigers Club Captain Ed Slater, said: “Tigers Rugby Camps allow hundreds of young players to improve their skills right around the region every year. The coaching and environment provided by the Tigers is just the type of opportunity I would have loved when I was younger. Whenever first-team players have visited camps we always see groups of players working hard together and having great fun at the same time, which is what the sport of rugby is all about.”

From tag to contact rugby, the camps offer youngsters of all abilities the chance to sharpen their rugby skills and make new friends during their summer holidays in a fun, safe and active environment.

The training camps will be held at the Jersey Rugby Club (JRFC). For more information or to book a place on the camps, please visit www.leicestertigers.com/jersey or call 0116 319 8888 (and select option 2).
