LibertyBus have won the Passenger Transport Best Practice award at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Annual Awards.

The award recognises "outstanding achievement" in the transport of passengers by road, rail, water or air.

Deputy Kevin Lewis, Minister for Infrastructure, congratulated the staff at LibertyBus for the recognition. He said: “Winning this prestigious award is fantastic recognition for what LibertyBus has achieved. There has been a measured 5% reduction in traffic on the main routes into St Helier during the morning peak. This is due in part to the consistently improving service that LibertyBus provides.”

Kevin Hart, Director of The Channel Islands and South West, said that competition for the CILT awards was fierce, adding that winning was a real achievement. “We were shortlisted for this award alongside Go-Ahead Group and Merseytravel, both major players in the transport industry," he commented. "We are proud of what we have achieved in Jersey in the last 5 years and are delighted to win this award.”
