Two local lawyers recognised on ‘Most Influential' list

Thursday 18 January 2024

Partners from two Jersey law firms have been recognised as prominent figures in the offshore private client sector in the UK and Crown Dependencies.

James Campbell from Ogier and Nancy Chien from Bedell Cristin have both been recognised in the ePrivateclient's 50 Most Influential list for 2024.

Mr Campbell, appearing for the sixth time on the list, specialises in legal advice for wealthy families, trustees, and family offices, focusing on trusts and estate planning.

He said: "I am really honoured to have received this recognition from ePrivateclient and very much look forward to catching up with the other delegates and the ePrivateclient team."

Ms Chien, appearing for the third time on the list, leads the International Private Client practice at Bedell Cristin in Jersey.

With over 20 years of experience and qualifications in several jurisdictions, she advises ultra-wealthy individuals and intermediaries on private client structuring, covering trusts, foundations, corporate law, pensions, and regulatory issues.

She said: "I am very pleased to be recognised again by ePrivateclient – our team continues to grow in terms of headcount and market share, and we continue to see strong flows of high value and complex work, particularly from our key target regions in the Middle East and Asia."

The 50 Most Influential list by ePrivateclient was compiled through a process evaluating industry expertise, accomplishments, and professional development over the past year.
