Paul Johnson is joining IT service company Logicalis as a new Security Operations Manager.

In his new role, Mr Johnson will have responsibility for the operational management of the security team, as well as the development of staff mentoring and coaching.

Mr Johnson said: “I look forward to improving the operational side of Logicalis. The IT work Logicalis achieves is of an impeccably high standard, I will work to improve the team operations so their work can be carried out even more efficiently.”

“Applying my coaching skill set to introduce a new mentoring and coaching scheme at Logicalis will help each member of staff reach their full potential. I look forward to the challenge and to the opportunity to bring my skills to a different environment.”

Mr Johnson has over 14 years’ experience with the Prison Service; carrying out investigations and auditing local departments, training and developing staff. He also researched and developed the new Digital Apprenticeship run by the States of Jersey Trackers Department.

He has successfully completed the accredited Chartered Management Institute, Level 7 Scottish Vocational Qualification (SNVQ) Assessors Qualification and is currently undertaking a Professional Mentoring and Life Coach Diploma.

Ricky Magalhaes, Head of Offshore Security (MSS), Logicalis, said: “I am delighted Paul is joining the Managed Security Services Team as our Security Operations Manager (SOM). Paul will be assisting me in developing more formal and consistent processes and procedures that will become increasingly important as the team grows.”
