Logicalis named Partner of the Year by leader in network security

IT solutions specialist Logicialis has been named Partner of the Year for the Channel Island and Ireland region by Sophos, a global leader in network security.

Logicialis was recognised for its continued efforts to raise the issue and importance of information security and protection for local businesses.

Tom Bale, CI Technical Director, Logicalis, said: “We are thrilled to have been recognized by such a giant as Sophos in the IT community. This award underlines how important we believe cyber security is in today’s world. Our success in part demonstrates that local businesses are slowly starting to take the matter of data protection and information security very seriously and are willing to learn more about how we can help protect them from potential attack.”

As a partner of Sophos, Logicalis is provided with the latest tools and training to help provide customers with protection from a variety of cybercrimes. Earlier this year, they opened the Channel Islands’ first Security Operations Center (SOC), looking after system security for over 400 global businesses.

Mr Bale said: “As recent high profile cyber-attacks show, companies need to strengthen their systems, and train and test staff regularly if they are to be in the best position to avoid a cyber-attack, while 24-hour monitoring, such as through a SOC, allows you to detect security breaches quickly and minimise damage.”
