The Lord Mayor of Westminster, Councillor Ian Adams, recently visited Catherine Best jewellers at the new Mayfair store to welcome the Jersey family business to the London scene.

During his visit, the Lord Mayor viewed the collections and had a tour of the jewellery manufacturing workshop.

The family business, which started with a jewellery showroom and manufacturing workshop in a windmill in Guernsey, later expanded the business to another windmill premises in Jersey and then to Mayfair last July. The new store was recently shortlisted in the Commercial Newcomer category of the Community Awards of Mayfair and St James’s.

Krys Zalewska, Manager of Catherine Best Mayfair, said: "It is rare in this day and age to find luxury products being handmade on the London high street. More so, products that have originated from the Channel Islands!

"Our visit from the Lord Mayor was very much appreciated and it’s fantastic to see Mayfair visitors admiring our philosophy to handcraft each item from design to finished piece."
