Project management consultancy MasonBreese is sponsoring a programme of extracurricular activity at University College Jersey (UCJ) in a bid to help students and boost awareness of the institution.
A team of UCJ ambassadors will be facilitating the programme, which will focus on events-led initiatives such as sport and recreational activities, volunteering, and providing platforms for students to network within the business community.
MasonBreese will be the main sponsor of UCJ for the next 12 months. The new partnership will enable UCJ to raise its profile through a number of initiatives and promotional activity, including the UCJ Graduation Ceremony, which is set to take place on Friday 14 September 2018 to celebrate UCJ’s class of 2018 graduates.
Vernon Breese, Director at MasonBreese, said: “The MasonBreese Change Academy for graduates and the work of UCJ are so closely related, a relationship may have been inevitable, but we are delighted it has come for us at so timely a point in our growing business. The value in working together to help young graduates fashion a pathway into an industry and support UCJ with its broader ambitions is a privilege as well as a welcome opportunity for us all. We view this new partnership between MasonBreese and UCJ as a significant investment in terms of time and commitment and we seek to make the very most of it together.
"2018 promises to be an exciting new year of development for both our organisations and we have already identified some interesting new ways to change the landscape for the better. We are very much looking forward to working closely with Steve Lewis and his team.”
Steve Lewis, Principal of Highlands College, added: "I am delighted that Jersey’s leading change and project management company, MasonBreese, has agreed to sponsor University College Jersey for the next 12 months. MasonBreese will be working with UCJ to raise the profile of its provision and Highlands College as a whole. As well as sponsoring many worthwhile projects, MasonBreese are keen to take an active role within our College and support our students with work experience and job opportunities. I am thrilled to be welcoming MasonBreese into our college community and look forward to a very exciting year ahead working with them."
Sponsorship from MasonBreese will also be used to fund the materials required to run a sixth form cross-college Student Ambassador Programme. The programme will enable Highlands College to engage with and recruit a team of enthusiastic students to represent the college.
