Head of Restaurants at The Royal Yacht Hotel, Claudio Abreu, has earned his MBA in International Hospitality Management from the IMI University Centre in Switzerland.

Claudio moved to Luzern in Switzerland in 2014 to earn his MBA degree, the course focused on current trends and business development, enabling to continue to develop and innovate new ideas for the hotel and to elevate The Royal Yacht brand.

Mr Abreu has held senior positions at The Royal Yacht Hotel for eight years, he played an integral role in helping with the relaunch of hotel’s restaurants Zephyr and Sirocco last year and was also the driving force behind the development of the new wine tasting experience, The Cellar.

He has resumed his duties as Head of Restaurants at the hotel and is working on further projects, focused on improving The Royal Yacht Hotel’s customer focus for both locals and visitors.

Mr Abreu said: “This degree has been a milestone in my career aspirations, it will strengthen my business and management skills. My job is to enhance the guest’s experiences and improve every detail, my new qualification will help me to develop new products and services at The Royal Yacht Hotel and to improve the experience for our customers, and with my new knowledge of current trends, I’m excited to see the results!”
