Mourant named 'Jersey Firm of the Year' for third year

Wednesday 23 May 2018

Offshore law firm, Mourant Ozannes, has been crowned 'Jersey Firm of the Year' for the third year running at the Who's Who Legal Awards.

The Who’s Who Legal Awards are based on research conducted among private practice lawyers of repute in their respective fields, as well as general counsel, in all the major jurisdictions and aim to identify a select group of practitioners considered by clients and peers to be pre-eminent in their area.

The award reflects the firm's reputation and work in the last 12 months which has included acting as Jersey counsel on significant international deals, including the largest ever European Private Equity fundraising which received commitments from over 300 investors around the world.

The firm's global teams were also recognised for the quality and calibre of their work in the most recent Private Client, Legal Aircraft and Private Funds guides.

Daniel Birtwistle, Jersey Managing Partner, said: "We're really pleased to have once again maintained our title for the third year in a row. It’s a statement of confidence in us as a leading offshore firm, and it reflects confidence in Jersey. We believe that the nature of our work and our approach plays a key role in this. Having a global perspective, and thinking globally, means that we are able to play a significant role in supporting and developing the island's success and reputation as a leading international finance centre."

"We'd like to thank our clients and peers who took the time to provide feedback on our services to Who's Who."
