Mourant Ozannes appoints new global Chief Finance Officer

Tuesday 01 November 2016

Law firm, Mourant Ozannes, has appointed Frans Post as global CFO.

Mr Post, who will also sit on Mourant Ozannes' management committee, has held the CFO role at Clifford Chance for 17 years, before joining Olswang as a CFO and Board Director in 2009.

Mourant Ozannes Global Managing Partner, Jonathan Rigby, said: "Frans has a deep understanding of the legal services market gained through board level appointments at some of the world's leading international law firms.  His knowledge and experience will be invaluable to us as we develop our medium to long term funding strategy and transform our global finance function."

Chief Operating Officer, Keith Pearse, added: "Building a market leading capability in business services is a core component of the firm's overall strategy, and one that we believe will differentiate us from our competitors. Frans' appointment as CFO represents a very important milestone in this process. His international experience and deep expertise will be hugely valuable and I am really excited about him joining the firm.

"All of our leadership team in business services have worked, at a senior level, in major international and UK law firms and between them they have decades of experience. Our capability, in this area, is something we are very proud of at Mourant Ozannes."

Mr Post added: "Mourant Ozannes is ambitious and focused on driving its business to the next level. It is creating competitive advantage as a result of its strategy. The culture in the firm is very collegiate and professional, with a clear vision. I am very excited to join at this time of significant change."

Mr Post will be based in Mourant Ozannes Jersey office and has responsibility for a finance team spanning the firm's offices in BVI, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Jersey and London.
