Working alongside Allen & Overy, partner Daniel Birtwistle, senior associate Sophie Reguengo and paralegal Cass Philip advised international real estate investment, services and fund management firm Kennedy Wilson in relation to its acquisition of a portfolio of commercial properties in South East London held by a number of Jersey holding companies, for approximately £210 million.
Partner Ben Robins and senior associate Sophie Reguengo advised Highland Europe, alongside Kirkland & Ellis, in relation to the establishment of Highland Europe Technology Growth II Limited Partnership as a Jersey Expert Fund.
The Fund raised €332 million to make venture capital investments primarily in growth-stage technology companies located in Europe and proximate markets.
Mourant Ozannes also advised in relation to the raising of Highland Europe's successful predecessor fund, Highland Europe Technology Growth Limited Partnership, which raised €246 million with the same investment strategy.
Daniel Birtwistle, who heads up the Investment Funds team in Jersey, said: "Jersey continues to attract quality, high value business of this nature and advising on these two high profile deals reinforces our leading position as the adviser of choice in the Channel Islands."
