Nautilus opens in Mauritius and Hong Kong

Tuesday 14 January 2014

Jersey-based Nautilus Group has opened two new overseas offices.

The addition of Nautilus Fiduciary Hong Kong Limited and Nautilus Fiduciary Mauritius Limited to the Nautilus Group has seen the company strengthen its team by 24, bringing the number of Group employees to 89.

"Nautilus’ move into Hong Kong and Mauritius allows us to now offer our exceptional service across multiple jurisdictions to an increasingly globally mobile client base,’ said Jason Cowleard, Managing Director of Nautilus Trust Company Limited.

"Our move into Hong Kong was also a strategic business decision due to its growing influence as a gateway to Asia. Hong Kong’s Trust Law (Amendment) Bill 2013, which came into operation on 1st December, has brought Hong Kong legislation much more in line with the equivalent laws in Singapore and England and looks likely to drive business back into Hong Kong from other jurisdictions."

Nautilus was incorporated in 1999 and has grown from a team of two to 89 through organic growth and a series of acquisitions, including the acquisition of New World Trustees (Jersey) Limited in March 2013. Nautilus is an independent trust company based in Jersey and boasts a client-focused team offering flexible solutions to clients around the world.
