New appointments to Deloitte's advisory team

Monday 12 March 2018

Deloitte has appointed David O’Carroll as Senior Manager and Sarah Sandiford as Associate Director in its Advisory team.

In their new roles, they will be responsible for helping clients navigate compliance, regulatory and cyber risks.

Mr O'Caroll said: ‘It’s an exciting time to be joining Deloitte’s Channel Islands team and I have been thoroughly impressed by the calibre of my colleagues and their extensive industry expertise. There are numerous opportunities for those who understand their customers, sensibly embrace technological developments, proactively respond to regulatory change and effectively manage risk.

"It’s a challenging time for the industry but Deloitte is well placed to assist clients to navigate through these challenges and seize opportunities by applying our local expertise and leveraging our global network."

Ms Sandiford said: "Here in Jersey, as a leading international finance centre with a first-class regulatory framework, we are leaders in many areas such as anti-money laundering, beneficial ownership and control information; however, with the continuing pace of regulatory change, we have many more opportunities to develop our expertise and reputation in other areas, such as data protection and cyber security.

"It’s a good time to be joining the team and I hope to capitalise on the current climate to bring new opportunities to Deloitte’s clients and I’m looking forward to applying my expertise to showcase Deloitte’s capabilities to a wider client base."

Andy Isham, partner in charge of Deloitte’s Advisory team said: "I am delighted to welcome David and Sarah to Deloitte’s Channel Island advisory team. Their extensive sector experience will greatly benefit our business and support our service to clients.

"Deloitte is fully focused on supporting Jersey’s position as a leading international financial centre and these appointments are testament to that commitment."
