New Associate Director at PraxisIFM

Thursday 15 June 2017

Caron Wallace, a Senior Audit Manager with almost 30 years’ industry experience in financial services, has been promoted to Associate Director at PraxisIFM.

Mrs Wallace joined the firm in 2012 and will focus on risk and regulatory changes.

She said: “The introduction of automatic exchange of information regimes, such as FATCA and CRS, have brought unprecedented changes to the finance industry in a short time frame. The delivery of our regulatory obligations to a high standard, easing the client burden whilst mitigating administrative costs and adhering to data protection regulations, will continue to be a challenge.”

In her new role, Mrs Wallace will oversee the Internal Audit team, which conducts client entity risk reviews. Additionally, she will provide guidance and assistance with the management of data protection issues and ensure compliance with FATCA and CRS onboarding and reporting.

Richard Kearsey, Managing Director of PraxisIFM Trust in Jersey, said: “This promotion is very well deserved. Caron is a highly respected member of staff and interacts with all stakeholders, irrespective of level. She has created a team that is willing to go the extra mile.”

“Caron has increased her technical knowledge base and implemented procedures in order that the company can fully meet its reporting requirements, which are becoming more onerous each year. She plays an integral role as our Data Protection Controller and 2017 will see a need for her yet again to increase her technical knowledge with the impending implementation of GDPR in May 2018.”
