New Associate joins Corbett Le Quesne

Thursday 28 November 2019

A new associate has joined the specialist family law firm Corbett Le Quesne.

Former JCG student Anna Styles took her barrister’s exams at BPP in London in 2005 and qualified as an English Solicitor in 2009.

She specialised in family law for five years before taking a career break to gain more varied experience.

After travelling for a year, she returned to Jersey to work in interior design and trust. She obtained counselling qualifications and became an Advanced Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Practitioner. She recently self-published a book for children designed to help them accept themselves.

“Children can experience a wide range of complicated and conflicting emotions when their parents separate and I approach family law with the view that a lawyer’s role is to help facilitate the best outcome for the client while minimising any distress and upset for any children involved," Mrs Styles commented.

"I am also very lucky to have found a family friendly firm that was willing and able to employ me part time, term time only. I am so excited to join such a lovely team who share my ethos and values."

"I worked opposite Advocate Barbara Corbett when I first qualified and it was clear then that she was an excellent family lawyer; knowledgeable, fair minded and very hard working," Mrs Styles added. "I also knew Advocate Nicholas Le Quesne and he is now an excellent family lawyer who is very passionate about his work and doing his best for his clients.”

“I have known Anna for a long time and she is a great fit for Corbett Le Quesne," Advocate Nicholas Le Quesne said. "Anna has a collaborative, practical and client centred approach which we appreciate so I am very happy to welcome her to the growing team.”

“We are delighted to welcome Anna to Corbett Le Quesne, she has a passion for helping people and has a range of experience with private clients and legal aid work,"
Advocate Barbara Corbett added. "Her outside interests complement the work we do and we hope she will be a valuable addition to the team.”
