Digital Jersey, Jersey’s government funded development agency tasked with accelerating the growth of the digital sector, has appointed Tony Moretta as the organisation’s new CEO.
Mr Moretta brings over 20 years of experience in a wide range of digital industries and roles, including mobile, online, broadcast, payments, advertising and data analytics, using the latest technological innovations to develop new revenue streams.
The new CEO has recently been delivering a number of projects in the digital space for both the UK Government and major private sector companies, and was one of the founders of Weve, a joint venture between EE, O2 & Vodafone in mobile marketing, payments and data analytics.
His other positions include Chief Executive of Digital Radio UK, where he took digital radio sales from £5 million to £11 million in extremely difficult market conditions and worked closely with Government on the Digital Britain report, Board Director at Freeview (the leading digital TV platform in the UK) and General Manager at National Grid Wireless. He has also in his career launched some major new technology projects in the online and Fintech spaces.
As CEO of Digital Jersey Mr Moretta will be responsible for delivering the organisation’s long-term economic, social and reputational objectives together with meeting annual business plan goals, to develop Jersey as a recognised digital jurisdiction.

He brings with him a thorough understanding of digital culture which will be of immense benefit as he develops Digital Jersey”
Mr Moretta added: “I’m delighted to be appointed as CEO of Digital Jersey.
