Equiom (Jersey) Limited has announced the appointment of Nicola Gott as Managing Director.

Mrs Gott commenced her position on 2nd November, and she has over 18 years’ banking experience, the majority of which at a senior executive level.

Prior to joining Equiom, she held the position of Country Chief Operating Officer for a French multinational bank and financial services company, where she was previously Head of Risk and Permanent Control and, before that, Head of Group Risk Credit.

Equiom Global CEO, Sheila Dean, said: “Nicola is a welcome addition to Equiom. She is highly motivated and passionate and she brings with her a wealth of offshore financial experience. We have ambitious plans for Equiom (Jersey) Limited and I am looking forward to supporting Nicola to continue to drive the business forward."

With a seat on the Equiom Group (Europe) Board, Mrs Gott will take responsibility for the overall operation and performance of Equiom (Jersey) Limited, which will include overseeing the key business functions and contributing towards business development strategy across Europe.

She said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Equiom ‘family’ and in particular to be working with the highly experienced colleagues we have here in Jersey and across the Equiom Group.

"This is an exciting market and Equiom is well placed to achieve great success in the island. I am looking forward to working closely with the teams here in Jersey to play a key role in the delivery of the Group’s plans.”

Nicola takes over the reins from Anton Swemmer who has held the position of Managing Director of Equiom (Jersey) Limited since the acquisition of Andium trust Company Limited in 2012. Mr Swemmer will continue to play a key role at Equiom in his new position of Group Finance Director for Equiom’s European operations.
