Promotions at Carey Olsen

Carey Olsen has appointed a new Partner and made a round of promotions in Jersey.

Carey Olsen has appointed Huw Thomas in Jersey to the partnership.

Alongside the promotion of Helen Wang in Singapore, the two promotions bring the total number of partners across the Carey Olsen group to 69.

Mr Thomas joined Carey Olsen in 2010 and is a key member of the firm's Channel Islands employment practice. His prior roles include working for a leading employment law firm in the City of London.

He is recognised by the Legal 500 as a Leading Individual and as a Band 1 lawyer by Chambers UK.

Carey Olsen group managing partner Alex Ohlsson said: "I would like to congratulate Huw and Helen on joining the partnership... I am proud that our firm is continuing to grow with these senior appointments spread across two of our global offices."

Carey Olsen have also promoted Elizabeth Le Guillou to Head of Wills and Probate within the firm's Jersey trust and private wealth practice.

Also in Jersey, Aldo Plater has been promoted to senior associate while Nienke Malan, John McCormick, Lauren Glynn, Oliver Lindop and Sarah Farrow have all been promoted to counsel.
