Ravenscroft has appointed two stockbrokers as part of its growth plans which will see the team substantially increase in size over the next few months.
Anthony McGovern and Patrick McConnell, who are both chartered wealth managers and fellows of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, have joined Ravenscroft from Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management.
"Anthony and Patrick are experienced and highly regarded stockbrokers and their enviable reputations will enable us to accelerate our ambitious growth plans," said Jon Ravenscroft, group CEO of Ravenscroft. "As the Channel Islands only independent stockbroking and investment management company, we are committed to employing the highest quality staff. Patrick and Anthony will complement our existing team’s expertise and bring additional resource to advise and help Ravenscroft’s rapidly expanding client base."
Mr McGovern brings ten years stockbroking experience to his new role, which will cover stockbroking services for both private clients and intermediaries.
"I was instantly impressed by the vision, focus and passion of the business, its highly professional people and how they pride themselves on an entrepreneurial approach with a clear focus on the client," he said. "There will always be challenges in the financial markets, but with hard work and the robust processes already in place, Ravenscroft is in a great position to assist and provide clients with every opportunity to be successful."
Mr McConnell has 15 years’ experience having also worked at UBS Wealth Management and Barclays Wealth.
"Ravenscroft’s success has been built on its entrepreneurial spirit, implementing fresh ideas but based on the traditional stockbroking model which investors trust. I’m looking forward to the challenge of building on that success and helping Ravenscroft become the largest stockbroker and investment manager in the Channel Islands," he said.
Ravenscroft will be announcing a number of other appointments in the coming months.
