Standard Chartered has appointed Adam Buxton as its new Head of Wealth Intermediaries.

The bank says he will lead a team of experienced relationship managers to deliver ambitious growth plans through the diversification of its offering to Wealth Intermediaries in the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and the UK.

Richard Ingle, Chief Executive Officer at Standard Chartered Jersey, said: "I am delighted that a person of Adam’s calibre has joined the senior team at Standard Chartered. Adam is a highly respected and experienced professional, known for his pragmatic and client-focussed approach to management. His extensive knowledge of the Wealth Intermediary sector will be instrumental as we look to build on the success of Standard Chartered’s Wealth Intermediary business across the Crown Dependencies and the UK."

"I am looking forward to building on the skills and experience of the current team to broaden our offering in cash management, credit, investment solutions and custody for new and existing clients. Our team is well qualified and in a fantastic position to develop Standard Chartered’s Wealth Intermediary capabilities in the Channel Islands and further afield,’ added Mr Buxton.

Mr Buxton has experience in front, middle and back office roles involving custody, banking, investments, funds and treasury. He holds the CISI Investment Advice Diploma, the FSA Investment Management Certificate and is a qualified SFA registered representative.
