Sure say they are "extremely pleased" to have secured 5,000 landline customers in Jersey.
The telecoms firm says it confirms the popularity of the decision to introduce competition into the marketplace.
Graham Hughes, CEO of Sure Jersey said: “We’ve been extremely pleased with our performance in the landline market since it was opened up to competition."
“Evidence from markets around the world shows that there’s a great deal of inertia in fixed line services once they’ve been opened up to competition but our performance suggests that islanders were eager to be given a choice.
“Crucially, we’ve worked hard to provide better value services than our competitors, principally by offering bundles of broadband, mobile and landline services that are very attractive to customers. However, I believe it’s our intense focus on customer service and our constant work to improve the experience for our clients that has seen so many people decide to switch landline provider.”
