Sure have reported what they describe as "strong" results for the first quarter of this year.
They say that broadband and fixed line subscribers have increased by 8% and 4% in that period while mobile customers numbers remained steady across the Channel Islands.
Graham Huges, CEO of Sure in Jersey, said: "As the quarterly results show, the Batelco Group operates in some extremely competitive and challenging markets, so it’s particularly pleasing to know that Sure is contributing strongly to the Group’s overall results. The fact that we continue to add significant numbers of both broadband and fixed line subscribers shows how important it was to open up the island markets to competition. By offering innovative products and excellent value, as well as a superb customer experience across all of our channels, we’ve become the most popular communications provider in the islands.
“In January, Sure in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man merged with Sure in the South Atlantic and Diego Garcia. The merger has gone very well and will enable us to be even more effective in maintaining our high standards and to continue providing our customers with the best levels of service available in the islands.”
