Channel Islands retailer SandpiperCI has appointed the former Treasury Director of Tesco as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Dan Wilson, who has more than two decades' experience in senior finances roles in retail and hospitality, has been appointed to help SandpiperCI develop its portfolio of franchise and property assets in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
In his previous role, Victoria College alumnus worked on Tesco's treasury and M&A activity. He also previously worked for three years as a Finance Director in Shanghai.
"Retail has been the central theme of my career and I have spent my most interesting and enjoyable years in this exciting and fast-moving sector. I have followed SandpiperCI’s success for more than a decade and feel very fortunate for the opportunity to continue my retail career in my home island," said Mr Wilson.
Tony O'Neill, SandpiperCI’s Executive Chairman, added: “We are very pleased to have found someone of Dan’s capability and extensive retail experience residing in the islands. He will play a key role in the ongoing and future development of our business as we seek to build on our successful first two years in local public ownership.”
