TISE posts strongest ever Q1 for new listings

Wednesday 27 April 2022

The International Stock Exchange (TISE) says it listed 268 new securities during the first three months of 2022, which is the strongest first quarter in its history.

It's a 19% increase on the first three months of 2021, taking the total number of listings to 3,719 at the end of March 2022, an increase of 15% during the quarter.

Robbie Andrade, Chief Operating Officer at TISE, said: “I am delighted that we have managed to build on our record year in 2021 and deliver our strongest first quarter for new listings. I’d like to thank all our staff for their hard work during this busy period and also our Members and wider stakeholders for their continued support. Listing flows continue to remain steady and, while the impact of wider market conditions is uncertain, we are confident that we are well positioned to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse client base.”

Across TISE’s Qualified Investor Bond Market (QIBM) during the first quarter of 2022 there was a total of 617 new issuances listed, comprising 264 entirely new security classes, as well as an additional 353 further issues to existing listings.

Within those listings on the QIBM, there was a year-on-year increase in both the number of high yield bonds and securitisations listed on TISE during the quarter. There was also continued diversification of geographical origin of these issuers, with new listings coming from companies based in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Luxembourg and The Netherlands. With businesses operating in the UK, Europe, South America and Africa, they include digital financial services providers, natural gas explorers, multi-national lottery operators, and companies from across the communications, housing, infrastructure and agriculture sectors.
