The winners of the 2017 STEP Jersey Student Awards have been announced - with the Top Student Award in International Trust Management won jointly by Kseniya Hornby of First Names Group and John Ramsay.
The awards, given to those wealth management professionals who attained the highest marks in the STEP professional examinations, were launched ten years ago to mark the 15th anniversary of the society in Jersey.
The awards were as follows:
The winners were presented with an engraved glass trophy and £825 worth of BA travel vouchers, or £1,200 for the top diploma student.
Welcoming some 250 industry professionals to a black tie dinner at the Royal Yacht Hotel, branch Chair Naomi Rive said: "This has been a milestone year for the branch as we celebrated our 25th anniversary. To mark the occasion we funded a bursary in the sum £12,000 to three students studying in Jersey for a financial services degree; we held a celebratory AGM and tea party which was attended by the Chief Executive of STEP, George Hodgson; and tonight we celebrate the success of those students who have excelled in their professional exams.
"As well as congratulating the worthy award winners I would also like to pay tribute to the employers in the wealth management sector who encourage and support their people through long periods of training towards the STEP professional qualifications."
