Trust industry specialist appointed as associate director at Hawksford

Wednesday 07 June 2017

Private client and funds business firm Hawksford has appointed Vicky Mills as associate director of its 58-person global private client team.

Ms Mills, who has over 20 years of experience in the trust industry, was previously an executive director at Bank of Singapore’s trust company in Jersey.

In her new role, she will be working with other directors to implement the firm's business plan, while developing new business opportunities and client relationships. She will also have to ensure quality service for existing clients, as well as team oversight and development.

Ms Mills started her career in Jersey at Volaw Trust in 1997 as a trust administrator before moving to Bedell Trust in 1999 to as a trust officer. In 2005 she became a manager of trust administration at Bank of Singapore’s trust company in Jersey and a director of business entities. Five years later, she was promoted to executive director with oversight of both administration and new business.

Throughout her career, she’s gained experience in business development, client relations, management of risk and corporate governance and improving business process efficiencies. She has also obtained strong team leadership and management skills.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms Mills said: "I have developed extensive knowledge over the years in the trust sector and managing the needs of ultra high net worth clients. I spent 12 years in my prior organisation dealing primarily with the Asia market, which will be extremely useful with Hawksford recently acquiring a trust licence in Singapore. I am looking forward to building on my experience at this time of exciting growth and development, and working with clients from other regions too.

"Hawksford has wide expertise across a range of structuring solutions, which means clients can receive a breadth of choice in terms of services from the one organisation. This affords the opportunity to build long working relationships with clients throughout their lifetimes and the ability to adapt and change to clients needs as required."
