Two New English Solicitors for Voisin Law

Monday 05 October 2015

Voisin law has announced that two members of staff have successfully qualified as English Solicitors having completed their two year training contracts with Voisin law.

Frances Littler (26) and Stephanie Sanderson (26) have shown strict determination throughout their training contract with Voisin, which commenced in 2013.

Frances Littler grew up in Jersey and attended Beaulieu Convent School until 2007 when she successfully enrolled at the University of Edinburgh and completed a Master of Arts with Honours in Ancient History.  She joined the Voisin bursary scheme in 2008 and regularly returned to undertake work experience during her holidays and gain knowledge of the firm’s expertise and services.  This valuable experience supported Miss Littler during her subsequent legal studies.

Between 2011 and 2013, she completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the York branch of the University of Law, attaining a bachelor of Laws degree. She returned to Jersey in 2013 to join Voisin on a full-time basis. As well as her own caseload, she is currently assisting in the litigation department. To unwind in her spare time, Frances enjoys outdoor pursuits such as sailing and kayaking.

Stephanie Sanderson also grew up in Jersey and attended Hautlieu School before completing her Law Degree with Honours at the University of Durham. Whilst making time for her hobbies skiing and travelling, she spent her holidays working for the firm and joined the Voisin bursary scheme shortly before Miss Littler in 2007.

After completing the Legal Practice Course at the Bristol branch of the University of Law, Miss Sanderson joined Voisin on a full time basis in 2013. She has enjoyed witnessing the theoretical areas of law put into practice and working with the experienced team at Voisin. She has recently worked hand in hand with English Solicitor Dexter Flynn to deliver a series of free presentations on the new Discrimination Law to local business leaders.

Having now qualified as English Solicitors, they want to continue to build on their skills and have set their sights on the Advocacy exams.

Jeffrey Giovannoni, Partner, Voisin law, said: "It is great to see how far Frances and Stephanie have progressed since they first embarked on the Voisin bursary scheme. Both have shown great commitment and hard work throughout university, work experience, training and exams. It is an extremely challenging process and Stephanie and Frances both deserve this tremendous success. They continue to demonstrate their value to our team through their enthusiasm and desire to progress their skills and nurture their futures at Voisin."
