A client advisor at UBS's Jersey branch, who has been with the company since 2008, has earned a top qualification in his field.

Will Grant, a Global Financial Intermediaries Client Advisor, received the Level 6 Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Congratulating him, Head of Financial Intermediaries Helen Ollivro said: "This Level 6 certification demonstrates Will’s exceptional understanding of the principles of private client investment advice and how those principles are integrated into the exemplary support he provides."

"Will continuously provides his clients with the highest level of expert financial support with a responsive, personal service," she said.

"It’s truly gratifying to see him acknowledged for his long-standing dedication to expanding his expertise."

Will has worked in the financial services industry for nearly 20 years and was recently promoted to Director.

In his new role, he is responsible for building new external asset manager relationships in the UK and the Channel Islands - making him the first point of contact for potential clients.

The qualification is the the sixth of seven levels of qualifications within the CISI's framework and tests candidates on their ability to build and structure a portfolio while following current regulations. The CISI estimates that it takes 203 hours of study time and has a 48% pass rate.
