The Chartered Institute of Marketing has announced the launch of the autumn marketing genius series.

The initiative is designed to provide a focused look at various marketing challenges businesses are facing today.

The first event entitled "Supercharge your video strategy" will be taking place on 22 September.
 
Online video is one of the fastest growing marketing channels and one of the islands leading video production experts, Phil Bouchard of 3C International will be discussing how to get the most out of your video strategy.
 
Talking of the event Mr Bouchard said: "Quite often businesses do not establish a clear video strategy, they simply measure video views as a basis for success. This does not drive new business or long-term brand value. At this event I will explore how to go about planning video, setting meaningful metrics and most importantly how video can drive new business”.

The chairman of the CIM Channel Islands Branch Steve Cartwright added: “We are delighted to be able to run these marketing genius events this autumn to support local businesses and marketers, in order to keep our members up-to-date with current marketing techniques and trends. In this very competitive market place whether you are a sole trader or multi-national organisation, successfully marketing your business is key to success.

"The second event in October will be looking at international marketing and we are delighted that speakers from HSBC will be talking about their global digital marketing campaigns that have won two CIM International Marketing awards. With the power of online communications, international markets are now just a click away no matter how small your business. This session will provide a fascinating insight in to how a major brand has driven new international business from digital channels, HSBC will be joined by Locate Jersey, who will show how the States of Jersey are promoting Jersey in overseas markets such as South Africa and China.”
 
Chartered Marketers and CIM members can claim CPD hours for attending.
