Vantage HBA marks first year with plans for further expansion

Wednesday 14 March 2018

Vantage HBA has made several appointments to its team bringing its staff numbers from two to seven to develop its HR advisory and recruitment services.

Vantage Personnel acquired HR consultancy Hassell Blampied Associates and became Vantage HBA one year ago.

Verienne Belcher has been appointed Managing Director of Vantage HBA and she will soon be joined on the board by Ed Daubeney – the Deputy Chairman of the Polygon Group, the major shareholder of the Vantage group of companies. Ms Belcher, who is also Director of Vantage Marketing, has been developing the strategy for the firm.

Richard Packman, CEO, commented: “Verienne’s analytical and marketing skills have been invaluable since she took on the role of Managing Director.  She has created a new strategic plan for Vantage HBA and she will now head up the team to take these plans forward as the company continues to expand.”

Vantage HBA’s staff growth has included the recent appointment Ashley Le Feuvre to its HR advisory team. Ms Belcher explained: “We have seen a growing demand for our advisory services, whether that’s companies seeking to outsource part or all of their HR function, or in-house HR teams looking for advice on certain issues they are facing. We have put a qualified experienced team in place which is able to deal with the very wide range of HR-related situations that arise and I am confident that this area of our business will go from strength to strength.”

Rebecca Reddy and Gina Broadhead have joined the recruitment division headed by Ward Jenner: “Like our clients, we recognise the importance of hiring key personnel within our own business and I am absolutely delighted that we have been able to recruit consultants with the experience, integrity and high-calibre of both Rebecca and Gina."

Vantage HBA has also extended the reach of its annual remuneration survey which delivers an in-depth pay and benefits analysis across a range of sectors within the Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man markets. Ms Belcher said: “Having spent some time in the Isle of Man, there is a clear market need and desire for the type of market intelligence our survey provides. The survey delivers high quality detailed information across a range of industry sectors. Our ethos is to create strong relationships with all of our participants and to continue to deliver valuable market and management intelligence.

“With regard to the survey, we are now looking to incorporate other sectors to ensure that the outputs are wholly representative of the islands’ business community. Looking further ahead, I am keen to investigate launching the survey in other offshore jurisdictions which would benefit from this type of service. It has certainly been an extremely busy first 12 months since the acquisition and I am delighted that we continue to benefit from the experience and expertise of Bob Hassell during this period of change. I am excited about working with the team towards delivering our future growth plans and objectives over the next year and beyond.”
