Viberts partner sworn in as Notary Public

Friday 01 February 2019

A partner at Viberts, who heads the Personal Law department, has been sworn in by the Dean of Jersey as a Notary Public.

Zoe Blomfield will prepare and authenticate various documents including Powers of Attorney, immigration, business and education documents, and deal with the purchase and sale of land overseas.

She took the notary exams in 2017 under the mentorship of Viberts’ current Notary Public, Charles Thacker. The process was overseen by the Notaries society which in turn was overseen by Archbishop of Canterbury.

Her Notary seal will feature a Jersey Lily.

Commenting on the recent appointment, Advocate Rose Colley, Family Law Partner, Viberts said: “Zoe’s appointment to Notary Public is so thoroughly deserved. She has long been an asset to Viberts and to the Island’s legal network and it was the right time for her to take on a new challenge within the firm.

“The process of becoming a Notary Public is notoriously difficult and she will serve an incredibly important role within the Island community, whilst still leading Viberts’ personal law team as partner.”
