Walkers appoints new partner

Thursday 16 November 2017

Walkers has announced that Marc Seddon, who specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, has joined the Jersey partnership.

Mr Seddon (pictured right) was also recently sworn in as an Advocate of the Royal Court, along with Robert Dobbyn and Guy Morris after they successfully passed all seven of the required Jersey advocacy exams.

The law firm said that their success maintains Walkers' "100% first time pass rate in the Jersey legal exams, and its high ratio of Jersey qualified lawyers."

Jonathan Heaney, Jersey's Managing Partner, congratulated the three men. "We are thrilled that their hard work and dedication has paid off. I am also delighted that Marc has agreed to join our growing Jersey partnership. He is a great asset to the firm and its clients, and will continue to develop our outstanding litigation practice."

The firm also announced the appointment of Carla Plater who joined as an associate in the firm's wealth structuring group. Partner Nigel Weston commented: "We are delighted to see Carla joining the team in Jersey. She is a pleasure to work with, and her expertise and experience will be invaluable in ensuring that our clients continue to receive a first class service from Walkers".
