The winners of the Cooper Brouard Property Lottery have received free conveyancing services from Carey Olsen and collected the keys and legal title to their new home.

The offshore law firm's market leading property practice agreed to donate its services to the winner of the brand new property in order to raise more funds for the chosen charities: Hope for a Guernsey Child, Friends of Frossard Children's Ward and Maison de Quetteville.

James, Joanne and two-month old daughter Jeorgie Dalton won the property but, in order to take ownership, they needed to go through the same process as if they were making a new purchase. The Carey Olsen legal team were there to offer expert advice and support services throughout.

The Daltons won the property on 29 September and were put in contact with Carey Olsen property partner Davey Le Marquand and conveyancing clerk Nina Thomson shortly thereafter. Necessary formalities were completed by Carey Olsen within two weeks of having received all of the required documentation. The Daltons now have legal ownership of their prize property.

“Winning a competition like this one was so exciting for the Daltons and it was really important to us, as it is with all our clients, that they reached their completion date as smoothly and quickly as possible. We've been able to advise them on all aspects of the conveyancing process including specific rules and conditions concerning the development in which their property sits,” said Advocate Le Marquand.
