The introduction of disability equality legislation forms part of the States’ Disability and Inclusion Strategy which is due to be debated at the November States’ meeting. The Strategy is a Policy Council initiative and we are delighted that the Chief Minister has offered to explain the background to, and scope of, the proposed legislation.

Naomi Ellenbogen, QC is one of the leading practitioners in the fields of employment, commercial and professional negligence law. A ‘first class advocate’, Naomi has won a raft of plaudits from clients, judges and legal directories since she was called to the Bar in 1992. She was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2010, amongst the most junior to be appointed in that year. Naomi is regarded as a clear-thinking, formidable advocate and a creative lawyer and tactician.

Ms Ellenbogen has kindly agreed to share her expert opinion of both the effectiveness and pitfalls of the UK equality legislation.

The lunch is being held at St Pierre Park Hotel at 11.45am on Tuesday 5th November 2013. Tickets are priced at £12 per person. To reserve your place and make a payment please email anne.richardson@guernseychamber.com with your name and payment method.
