He is known as one of football’s larger than life characters and now he is coming to Jersey. Neil “Razor” Ruddock the former Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool player will be the after dinner speaker at a one off event on the 4th March aimed to raise money for the Jersey Brain Tumour Charity.

He made his debut at Millwall, having been associated with the club since the age of 13, and as well as playing for Tottenham and Liverpool he also represented Southampton, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Queens Park Rangers and Swindon Town during a professional career spanning 17 years. He was capped once by England, in 1994.

After his football career he found further fame through many notable appearances on TV In 2004, he appeared on the third series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! And in 2013, Ruddock appeared as a housemate on the 11th series of Celebrity Big Brother, where he finished in fifth place.

The event is being staged by “Phillips-Rivers Promotions” a new Jersey promotions company and describes the event as quality after dinner entertainment with one of the leading football speakers on the UK circuit.

Neil Ruddock took to his own twitter account to show his support and excitement of coming to Jersey:

The Business Manager of the Brain Tumour Charity Kevin Pamplin, is thrilled for a couple of reasons as he explains:

“As a big Spurs fan I’m thrilled that Razor is coming over to spend an evening here on the island which will be as memorable as one of his crunching tackles on the pitch. Secondly we can’t thank him and the event promotors enough in choosing our charity to benefit.

“I am sure with Mr Ruddock’s influence we can raise as much money as possible on the night, which goes a long way in helping the many islanders we support here on the island, as we here at JBTC tackle the growing number of Brain Tumour related issues for those who we support. We urge all football fans to grab your seat and dig deep to help islanders for a great night in return.”

Tickets for the event are available by contacting Steve Phillips directly on 07829718439 or email prpromo@yahoo.co.uk People are advised that the dress code is smart casual and some material may be offensive, so the event is strictly for over 18’s ONLY.
