Meet the people at the heart of Jersey’s countryside, our dairy farmers.

Jersey Dairy has updated their milk cartons with new ‘Meet our Farmer’ profiles, showcasing our local dairy farmers and highlighting the amoozing work they do caring for our Jersey cows and protecting the local environment.

The farmer profiles will form part of Jersey Dairy’s ‘Meet Our Farmers’ campaign with social media activity and roadside banners introducing local dairy farmers to the community.

Eamon Fenlon, Managing Director of Jersey Dairy said, “Jersey Dairy is a farmers co-operative owned by 13 dairy farmers who don’t just provide our consumers with nutritious and delicious Jersey milk every day, but they are custodians of the countryside, and when buying local we are supporting a farming heritage and our unique environment. We are proud to feature our dairy farmers on the milk cartons and emphasise all the wonderful work they do for our island.”

Jersey Dairy farms are all LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) and Red Tractor certified. These accreditations demonstrate the high standards of sustainable farming and animal welfare which take place on local dairy farms. Jersey Dairy farmers are also working with TrinityAg Tech to measure and leverage carbon to create more resilient, sustainable businesses to enable farmers to make more informed decisions as they move towards net zero emissions.

The campaign will start in the coming weeks, and it will include a competition where families will have the opportunity to win an udderly fantastic farm tour during May half term. Keep your eyes peeled!
