Islanders are being encouraged to get their Million Pound Lottery tickets if they haven’t already – there are only a few hundred tickets remaining and they are selling fast.

Islanders only have FOUR WEEKS to buy them before the draw on Friday 8 August at Grand Jersey.
Tickets are available at the following Island locations:

Natwest, Bath Street - Mon-Fri 10am-2pm
Natwest, Library Place - Mon-Fri 10am-2pm
Jersey Hospice Care reception, Mont Cochon – Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
feelunique at au caprice - Monday – Saturday 9am – 5.30, Sunday 10am – 1pm

Tickets for the charity’s biggest annual fundraiser are £300 each and 6,000 tickets went on sale in April. The majority of purchases have been made by syndicates and the charity also offered a £500 cash prize draw this year to islanders who bought their ticket within the first two weeks of sales – this was won by ticket number 1703 and the prize was claimed by three friends who used some of the money to buy another ticket.

A total of £1,300,000 in prize money will be given away at the draw on Friday 8 August at Grand Jersey with £1 million as first prize, followed by £100,000, £75,000, £50,000, £25,000 and five prizes of £10,000.
There is a one in 600 chance of winning a prize of least £10,000.

Steve Harvey, Jersey Hospice Care Chief Executive said: “We always get requests from people wanting to buy tickets after we’ve sold out. We have an earlier draw this year so want to remind islanders that there isn’t that long left to get a ticket if they want to take part in the Million Pound Lottery. We are selling tickets in more places this year to make it as easy as possible to buy them, so please support us and spread the word to family, friends and colleagues. We are enormously grateful to our super team of lottery volunteers who sell tickets for the Million Pound Lottery and give so freely of their time.”

The Million Pound Lottery draw will be compered by Peter Mac, broadcast live on ITV Channel TV and published live on Facebook.com/JerseyHospiceCare and Twitter.com/JerseyHospice and the charity’s website www.jerseyhospicecare.com.

The event which is the eighth of its kind is supported by NatWest, Alphaprint, Grand Jersey, Ernst and Young, NA Balloons and Flowers by Jackie.
