Five Asset Risk Consultants employees have gained key industry qualifications. Associate director, Paul Wallbridge, senior investment analyst, Andrew Kettlety, and investment analyst, Luis Brito, have qualified as Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA).

Investment analyst Gemma Howe successfully completed the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) Masters in Wealth Management while fellow investment analyst Fay Panagiotakopoulou completed the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) at Level 4.

Paul Wallbridge joined the ARC team in 2001 and undertook the CFA qualifications after gaining the required experience in qualifying investment work.

The CFA programme is a globally recognised, graduate level curriculum that provides a strong foundation of real-world investment analysis and portfolio management skills along with the practical knowledge needed in today’s investment industry.

This achievement adds to his status as an existing member of both the CFA Institute and The CFA Society of the UK and builds upon his reputation as an investment consultant for a number of private and institutional clients within the consulting team.

Mr Wallbridge said: “ARC has an excellent reputation for encouraging staff training and supporting them throughout the process and they were extremely helpful during my studies.”

Andrew Kettlety joined ARC in 2010 having spent six years working in the City of London. For part of this time, he worked for Butterfield Private Bank, where he was responsible for implementing an equity algorithmic trading system and developing the company’s portfolio performance attribution reporting. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of the UK.

Luis Brito moved to Guernsey in 2009 and joined ARC as an investment analyst, where he provides investment consulting services to both private and institutional clients. Mr Brito is also an existing member of both The CFA Institute and The CFA Society of the UK.

Gemma Howe joined ARC in September 2011 and works within the private client consulting team. Miss Howe completed the Level 7 CISI qualification receiving a merit, having already completed a CISI Diploma winning prizes for her submitted course papers in the process.

The Masters in Wealth Management is the highest level qualification offered by the CISI and is only awarded to candidates with an extensive knowledge of regulated activities, advising on and dealing with securities and derivatives, and advising on packaged products and managing investments.

Fay Panagiotakopoulou completed the IMC Level 4 qualification after joining ARC in December 2010, working with the private client consulting team. Ms Panagiotakopoulou holds a BSc in Cell and Molecular Biology from Oxford Brookes University and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London. While in London, she worked in a research capacity on both Molecular Diagnostics and Environmental Risk Assessment and Management.

ARC Group Managing Director Graham Harrison said: “Studying while working full-time requires enormous dedication and hard work. All five of my colleagues deserve the success they have earned.

“At ARC developing our staff is critical to our business strategy and to innovation. We support our employees in becoming rounded creative thinkers and professional qualifications are a constructive way for our employees to learn new skills and develop new ways of thinking.

“In today’s world of increasing regulation it is also reinforces our clients’ confidence that the team at ARC is familiar with the latest developments in the investment sector.”
