When? Saturday 21 January – 10:00 to 11:00

What? ‘Your Home, Your Story’ is a series of free talks at Jersey Archive taking place monthly to delve into new stories about the island’s history from as long ago as a century ago. Those stories were uncovered from archive records that recently become open to the public, having been previously closed under the Freedom of Information Law. The documents give a fresh insight into what life was like for islanders in the years between the two World Wars and how islanders in need were given assistance as well as crime and punishment in St.Helier, including a court case involving a young lawyer Alexander Coutanche, who went on to become Bailiff.

Wedding and Event Fayre

When? Sunday 22 January – 10:30 to 15:30

Where? Royal Showground

What? Marquee Solutions’ annual Wedding and Event Fayre is returning with a
variety of local exhibitors. Free entry and refreshments available.
