Jersey’s leading network of senior professional businesswomen, the Whiteley Association, recently celebrated its 30th Anniversary with a dinner at St. Brelade’s Bay Hotel.
Established in 1990 as Jersey’s first businesswomen’s networking group, over 30 years later the Association is still flourishing with members who are decision makers, directors, professionals and business owners from a wide range of fields.
The evening gave attendees the opportunity to celebrate its history, to reconnect with present and past members and to look forward to the future of the Association.
After recently retiring from professional sport and returning home to Jersey, guest speaker, Serena Guthrie MBE, spoke about her illustrious international and elite national netball career, her motivations and inspiration.
Les Quennevais School year 10 photography students, Shannon and Keira , were invited to take photos and capture memories of the evening.
Whiteley Association Chair, Julia Williams, commented “It was wonderful to host a belated celebration of the Association’s 30 year history with so many past, present and future members. The Association’s aims are just as relevant to today’s businesswomen as they were when our founders established this unique network. I look forward to seeing how the Whiteley Association develops over the next 30 years.”
