They wowed millions on the BBC’s One Show earlier this year as part of Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday celebrations and now the AeroSPARX team are flying in to spark off the finale to this year's Moonlight Parade.
The aerial gliders kitted out with wingtip pyrotechnics will be part of a big fireworks display lighting up St Aubin's Bay next month.
Jersey Battle of Flowers Events Director Jackie Donald said: “We strive to add a new element each year as part of the Moonlight Parade finale.
“While the fireworks over St Aubin’s Bay are a guaranteed crowd pleaser we are confident that the aerobatic skills of AeroSPARX will bring something different to this year’s show to delight and amaze our audience and are grateful to Ports of Jersey for sponsoring this aspect of the Parade.”
Ports of Jersey’s Group Operations Director Stephen Driscoll said: “Having witnessed an aerial display of AeroSPARX skills as part of a private function during last year’s International Air Display we are delighted that this formations firework display will be seen once again over Jersey skies by a wider audience as part of this year’s Jersey Battle of Flowers.
“And it is particularly rewarding for us to be involved in facilitating such a unique aviation spectacle as part of the parade’s programme.”
Flying with fireworks is not a new venture but the development of wingtip pyrotechnics has taken a number of years and the AeroSPARX team will be using a number of special effects incorporating the latest technology into their aerial displays.
