The Battle of Flowers' longstanding 'Grand Day Parade' will now be taking place in the early evening.
Organisers said the change for 2023, which will see the parade begin at 18:00 on Friday 11 August, came in response to feedback from spectators and exhibitors.
The Moonlight Parade will take place the following day (Saturday 12 August), starting at 21:00.
“Following this year’s parades we actively engaged with our battle community, including exhibitors to consider new ideas and suggestions, and were delighted with the positive feedback we received," recently elected Chair of the Battle of Flowers Board, Russell Labey, said.

He continued: "One of these was to hold the two parades over a weekend to allow more people the opportunity of attending.
"By moving the traditional floral parade to later in the day on the Friday, when not only are temperatures likely to be more favourable, but it may encourage more people to come along straight after work and join in the fun.”
The future of Battle has been up for debate for some time.
Last year saw a series of crunch meetings to discuss the continued viability of the parade, which has previously relied on grant funding from Government.
