Young book worms are being challenged to read something they’ve never read before, and write a review of it, to be in with a chance of winning a cash prize.
The Jersey Festival of Words is inviting entries from all Year 5 and 6 students for the contest.
The Book Review Competition challenges the primary school pupils to pick a work of fiction that they’ve never read before and spend next week reading it.
Next, the bookworms will have to write a short review summarising the book’s plot, it’s main characters and what they thought of the read.
Reviews should be sent by an adult to info@jerseyfestivalofwords.org by midnight on Friday 3 April and the best two entries in each category will win a £25 prize.
